Accessibility
We want every employee who needs an employment lawyer to be able to use this site, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, enlarge text, or rely on reduced motion. This page explains what we have done, what we know is not finished, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.
Our Commitment
People come to an employment lawyer at a bad moment, often while still working for the employer they are worried about. A site that is hard to use is not a minor inconvenience in that situation. We treat accessibility as part of doing the job properly, not as a compliance box.
We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That is the standard referenced by most United States accessibility requirements, including expectations under the Americans with Disabilities Act and California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act.
What We Have Built and Tested
These are specific things about this site, checked on the live pages rather than copied from a template.
Reading and Structure
- Every page declares its language, and our Spanish pages declare Spanish, so a screen reader pronounces them correctly instead of reading Spanish with English phonetics.
- Every page has a single main heading and a real heading outline, so you can navigate by headings rather than reading top to bottom.
- Every page uses proper landmark regions for the header, navigation, main content and footer, so you can jump straight to the part you want.
- Every page begins with a “Skip to content” link, so keyboard users do not have to tab through the whole menu on every page.
Images, Forms and Controls
- Every image carries a text alternative.
- Every form field has a label that is properly associated with it, so screen readers announce what each field is for, and tapping the label focuses the field.
- Consent checkboxes put the checkbox directly beside the text it refers to, and the full consent wording is available to screen readers.
- Interactive components built for this site, including the case tools and the article tabs, follow standard keyboard patterns and work with arrow keys, Home and End.
- Where a control enhances the page with JavaScript, the underlying content is readable without it. Nothing important is hidden behind a control that might not run.
Color, Contrast and Motion
- Text and interface colors were audited against WCAG AA contrast ratios across the site and corrected where they fell short, including link colors on dark backgrounds and breadcrumb text.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, animations and transitions are switched off rather than merely shortened.
- If your device is set to increase contrast, the site raises contrast and gives surfaces defined edges.
- If your device is set to reduce transparency, translucent surfaces become solid.
- The site works at increased zoom and reflows to narrow screens without horizontal scrolling.
Tell Us About a Problem
If any part of this site stops you doing what you came to do, tell us. You do not need to know the technical reason, and you do not need to use particular words. Describing what you were trying to do and what happened is enough.
It helps if you can include the page address, what you were using, such as a screen reader, voice control or keyboard only, and what you expected to happen.

- Use our contact page
We will not ask you to justify why you need an adjustment.
If You Cannot Use This Site at All
You do not have to use the website to get help from us. A free case review can be done entirely by phone, and we can take your information verbally rather than asking you to fill in anything online. If you need a different arrangement, ask and we will make it.
